There is no single "best marketing agency in Syria." The best one for you depends on what you need: creative content, social media management, branding, paid ads, or measurable leads and sales. This guide compares the agencies Syrian businesses most often shortlist, says what each is best at, and gives you a checklist for choosing.

Disclosure: This guide is written by Sawwikly, a Damascus-based growth marketing agency that appears on this list. We describe every agency, including ourselves, using only what each agency publishes on its own website or public profiles, and we link to those sources. If you run one of these agencies and something is out of date, message us and we'll correct it.

How we compared the agencies

We looked at the same seven things for every agency:

  1. Services offered: strategy, social media, paid ads, SEO, branding, web development, events.
  2. Main strength: what the agency leads with in its own portfolio.
  3. Offices and market reach: Syria only, or Syria plus the Gulf and beyond.
  4. Public portfolio: named clients and published case studies.
  5. Search and AI visibility: whether it offers Arabic SEO and visibility in AI search tools such as ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews (how AI search works in Syria).
  6. Measurement: whether it publishes results in numbers, not just designs.
  7. Years active: where the agency states it.

We did not rank the agencies from first to last. A content studio and a performance agency solve different problems, so each agency gets a "best for" label instead.

The agencies (alphabetical)

ANTOM Group: best for branding and packaging design

A Damascus creative agency focused on branding, visual identity, packaging and social media design. Its public portfolio includes identity and packaging work for food, café and retail brands, plus campaigns such as MTN's "Cool Plus." A good fit if you need a brand built or refreshed. Dali Agency: best for established 360° campaigns and events

Founded in Damascus in 2005, Dali moved its operations to the UAE in 2013 and resumed working in Syria in December 2024. It also has a branch in Berlin. Services range from market research and media buying to events, trade fair support, AR/VR and marketing automation. Named clients include JVC, Brother, Swatch, Knauf, the British Council, UNDP and GIZ. A strong option for larger brands, NGOs and event-heavy campaigns. Website: dali-agency.com

iBtikar: best for regional, multi-country campaigns

Mesh-Mosh (مشمش): best for creative content and branded shows

A Damascus creative and content agency that builds branded media programs, such as a 24-episode cooking series for Riam Rice and an in-house entrepreneurship podcast. It also offers influencer campaigns, Meta ads, social media management and photography, and works with Gulf brands. A strong choice if you want content people watch, not just posts. Website: mesh-mosh.com

Partners Agency: best for full-service local campaigns

Described on its Sortlist profile as a full-service marketing agency founded in Damascus, with client reviews on the platform. Worth shortlisting if you want a Damascus agency with third-party reviews you can read before you meet. Profile: Sortlist

Princetect Digital Agency (PDA): best for monthly social media management and launches

Based in Damascus and Dubai. It sells three packages: monthly social media management, one-off creative projects, and pre-launch and launch campaigns. Its client logos include Syriatel, Vimto and Durra. A good fit if you want ongoing page management or a product launch. Website: princetect.com

Sawwikly: best for leads, sales and search visibility (Google and AI)

That's us. Sawwikly is a Damascus growth marketing agency focused on measurable results: SEO and Arabic SEO, generative engine optimization (visibility in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews), Meta and Google ads, social media, branding, web development, and exhibition and event marketing. We have published 35+ practical guides on marketing in Syria since sanctions relief, including how to fund and run ads locally. Clients include Lucille Cosmetics, Al Sham Metal, Falafel Station, GameShop and Getaway Holidays. One published case study shows conversion rate rising from 0.4% to 4.8%. Our honest limit: if you mainly want entertainment-style video series, a content studio like Mesh-Mosh may suit you better. Website: sawwikly.com

How to choose: 6 questions to ask any agency

  1. Will I own my ad account and my pages? You should. If the agency runs ads only through its own account, you lose your data when you leave.
  2. Are ad spend and agency fees separate on the invoice? Bundled budgets make it impossible to see what you actually paid for media (why this matters).
  3. What will you report every month? Ask for leads, sales or cost per result, not only reach and likes.
  4. How do you fund ads from Syria? A credible agency can explain the payment method clearly and legally. See our guide to funding Meta ads in Syria.
  5. Can I speak to a current client? Logos are easy to show; a reference call is harder to fake.
  6. Do you work in Arabic and English? Most Syrian customers search in Arabic, but regional and investor audiences often use English.

Red flags

  • Promises of guaranteed followers or a guaranteed first place on Google
  • No written contract or no clear notice period
  • A price that includes "unlimited" ads with no stated budget
  • No portfolio with real, named clients

About Sawwikly: one ecosystem for growth in Syria

This section is about us. The comparison above treats every agency the same way; here we explain what we've built.

Most agencies sell services. Sawwikly has built an ecosystem: a growth agency at the centre, partners for everything physical, our own products, and a public knowledge base that Syrian businesses use to make decisions.

The Sawwikly ecosystem: agency core, partner network, own products and public knowledge base

What makes Sawwikly different

  1. We're built for how Syria actually works. We fund and run Meta ads for clients locally, paid in cash in Damascus, through Sham Cash or by Mada transfer, so you don't need a foreign card or an offshore account.
  2. We're visible where your customers search now. SEO in Arabic and English plus generative engine optimization, so businesses appear in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, not only on Google's first page.
  3. One partner from screen to street. Digital marketing, branding and web are in-house. Printing and packaging, LED screens and banners, lighting and interiors, exhibition stands and event planning come through our partner network. One brief, one accountable team.
  4. We build products, not just campaigns. Eventory is our live digital invitation platform, with animated invitations, RSVP tracking, seating plans and a shared guest photo album. Syria Finds is our video-verified guide to new places across Syria, launching in full in January 2027. We test growth tactics on our own products before we sell them. Read why we build our own software.
  5. We publish what we know. 35+ practical guides on marketing in Syria since sanctions relief, plus a free marketing calendar with 161 growth opportunities across 18 Arab countries.
  6. We report in numbers. 30+ projects delivered and 10+ active clients. One case study: views from 1,593 to 51,002, bounce rate from 82.4% to 34.1%, conversion rate from 0.4% to 4.8%.
